Communities (unfinished)
In the Lower Shire Valley in Southern Malawi, we partner with community leaders across the Chikwawa and Nsanje districts, home to approximately 850,000 people. Despite considerable agricultural potential, the region remains vulnerable to recurrent flooding, drought, food insecurity, poverty, and unemployment.
Working through our Trust Committees established within the Area Development Committees (ADCs), we work with leaders to address their community’s priorities through investing in infrastructure and diversified livelihoods that strengthen resilience and drive sustainable development.

<name> Community
PLACEHOLDER <Name> commuity lies south of Chikwawa and, before partnering with KCDT, faced annual flooding that damaged bridges, washed away roads, destroyed crops, and cut off access to markets and essential services. Since then, KCDT has constructed two culverts and carries out road regrading after each rainy season, helping to maintain reliable transport links, improve market access, and strengthen the community’s resilience to seasonal flooding.
